| 설명 | 청신경(제8뇌신경)의 신경겉을 싸고 있는 집(sheath)의 슈반세포(Schwann cell)에서 기원하는 종양-뇌종양 중 비교적 흔하며 대개 40~50대에 호발한다. 증상으로는 귀울림, 난청, 소뇌기능장애 등이 있으며, 이중 귀울림이 가장 초기의 증상이다. |

| transverse crest of internal acoustic meatus | A horizontal ridge that divides the fundus of the internal acoustic meatus into a superior and an inferior area. In the former are the introitus of the facial canal and openings for the branches of the vestibular nerve to the utricle and to the ampullae of the anterior and lateral saemicircular canals. In the latter are openings for the cochlear nerve, and for branches of the vestibular nerve to the saccule and to the ampulla of the posterior saemicircular canal.
