| 설명 | 마마바이러스(poxvirus)에 의해서 일어나는 급성법정 전염병. 잠복기는 12일이고, 이어서 이상성발열경과가 시작된다. 제1기는 3~4일 계속되는데 이 기간에 발열과 1과성 홍반, 또는 점출혈반이 구간에 생긴다. 그것이 소멸되고 체온이 일일간 하강하나, 이어서 다시 상승하며 이때에 구진이 얼굴, 손, 발에 나타나서 수포화되고, 급속히 농포상으로 된다. 병변은 손바닥, 발바닥, 팔다리의 원위부에서 구간을 향해서 진행된다. 각 병변은 정확하게 같은 크기와 발생시기가 같은 병변으로 둘러싸이며, 주로 몸의 논출부에 나타나고, 겨드랑, 샅고랑에는 나타나지 않는다. 농포는 중심부가 함몰되고, 딱지를 형성하며 7~10일 후에 탈락되어, 작은 함요, 탈색된 반흔을 남긴다. 다른 증상으로 폐렴, 관절염, 골수염, 피부 및 구강 점막병변의 출혈이 포함된다. 등쪽통증, 두통 및 쇠약이 흔히 수반된다. |
