| 설명 | 가시처럼 생긴 척추뼈몸통의 돌기중 하나로서 척추뼈몸통의 뒷부분으로 뻗어 있으며 목뼈의 경우 첫번째, 두번째, 일곱번째를 제외하고는 끝이 둘로 갈라져 있으며, 허리뼈의 경우 사각형으로서 척추뼈에 따라 모양이 다르다. 고개를 숙였을때 목뒤에서 만져지는 돌기는 일곱번째 목뼈의 가시돌기이다. |

| 설명 | 소화기관의 일부분으로 이자액을 분비한다. 그리고, 기타 대사에 관여하는 호르몬을 랑게르한스 섬세포에서 분비한다. 복부내 샘창자의 뒤쪽에 위치하며, 복벽에 붙어 있다. 그리고 이자액을 분비하는 이자관은 담즙을 분비하는 온쓸개관과 함께 샘창자의 중간부에 개구한다. 따라서 이자머리부의 종양으로 주위 장기를 압박하게 되면, 주위의 온쓸개관이 같이 눌리게 되어 담즙분비가 되지 않아 황달이 나타난다. 소화효소인 이자액을 분비하고, 위에서 내려온 위산을 중화시킬 수 있는 중화효소를 분비한다. 그리고 랑게르한스섬세포에서 대사에 특이한 호르몬을 분비한다. 랑게르한스섬세포는 염색의 형태에 따라 2가지 세포가 존재하는데, 먼저 알파세포(alpha cell: 10~30%정도)는 빨갛게 염색되며 글루카곤을 분비한다. 그리고 다른 한 종류인 베타세포(beta cell: 60~90%정도)는 파랗게 염색되며, 인슐린을 분비한다. |
