| tritanomaly |
a very rare anomalous trichromasy in which the third, blue-sensitive, cones have decreased sensitivity; therefore a greater than normal proportion of blue light to green light is required to match a blue-green stimulus. Tritanomaly is an X-linked trait and occurs in about 0.0001 per cent of white males; it is therefore of little clinical importance.
