| thiosulfate sulfurtransferase |
[EC 2.8.1.1] a mitochondrial enzyme of the transferase class that catalyzes the conversion of cyanide to thiocyanate, using thiosulfate as a sulfur donor. The reaction is the major physiologic mechanism for detoxifying cyanide.
