| 설명 | 인체의 뇌에는 체온조절의 중추가 존재하며 이곳에는 체온조절의 목표가 되는 정점(set point)가 기억되어 있다. 만약 체온감지기에서 감지된 체온이 정점이 다를 때에는 체온조절기를 통해 제어한다. 이 체온조절기에는 근육이 떨기(shivering), 땀샘에 의한 땀의 분비, 피부혈관의 확장 등이 있다. 감염시 나타나는 발열 현상은 감염에 의해 유리되는 내인성 발열물질(endogenous pyrogen, interleukin-1)에 의해 체온조절 중추의 정점이 상승되어 인체가 정점에까지 체온을 상승시키기 위하여 운동을 중가시키고 발한을 억제하고 피부혈관을 축소시키는 현상이다. |
