| 설명 | 프로이드의 성격구조이론에 의해 성격을 세 부분으로 나누는 것 중 하나이다. 성격에는 이기적 본능인 이드(Id), 현실적응능력을 가진 자아(Ego), 그리고 무엇이 옳고 그른지를 판단하는데 관여하는 성격의 도덕적 부분인 초자아가 있다. 초자아는 양심(conscience)과 자아이상(Ego ideal)의 두 부분으로 구성된다. 양심은 부모들이 아이에 대해 비난했거나 벌을 주던 일이 토대가 되어 금지했던 행동을 할 때 죄책감을 느끼게 된다. 자아이상은 아이가 부모로부터 칭찬받았던 일들이 토대가 되며 자아이상을 만족시키면 행복감과 자존심을 깊이 느끼게 된다. 초자아는 에디푸스 콤플렉스(Oedipus complex)가 해결되는 시기에 생성되어 이때부터 자기통제(self control)가 부모통제를 대신한다. 초자아는 자신이 자라온 사회의 가치관과 전통의 많은 부분을 포함하고 있다. |
