| 설명 | 항문-요도 등 관모양기관을 에워싸고 배출을 조절하는 근육. 민무늬근-가로무늬근, 또는 수의근-불수의근으로 인체의 특정 부분의 열기 닫기에 관여하는 고리 모양의 근육을 말하는데, 그 수축과 이완에 의해 개폐작용을 한다. 동공의 수축에 관계하는 동공조임근, 음식물을 위 속에 저장하는 들문조임근과 날문조임근, 항문을 항상 오므리고 있는 속항문조임근과 바깥항문조임근 등이 있다. |

| sphincter intermedius | Angular sphincter, thickening of the circular muscular layer forming a proposed intermediate sphincter at the level of the angular notch of the stomach. While the thickening of the circular muscle may indicate the commencement of the pyloric antrum, true functional sphincteric activity distinct from the other peristaltic contractions of the stomach is not observed although some of these may in fact temporarily close off the antrum from the remainder of the stomach lumen.
