| 설명 | X-선 사진에서 잘 나타나는 조영제(방사선촬영상에서 하얗게 나타나 주위조직과 감별이 용이하다)를 섭취한 후 식도, 위, 샘창자, 작은창자상부까지 X-선 촬영하므로써, 그곳 소화관내의 이상병터여부를 검사하는 것. 조영제는 주로 바륨을 사용하며 더 선명한 영상을 얻기위해 발포제를 함께 섭취하여 바륨과 공기의 이중조영촬영을 하기도 한다. 식도암, 위암 및 소화성궤양과 그밖에 다양한 병변의 진단에 효과적으로 사용된다. |

| 설명 | 위와 큰창자 사이의 길이 5m내외의 소화기관으로서 샘창자, 빈창자, 돌창자의 세 부분으로 구성됨. 1)샘창자: 소장의 제일 첫부분으로서 길이 25cm의 C자형모양. 상부, 내림, 가로, 오름의 네부위로 구성되며, 상부 부위를 제외하고는 모두 뒤복벽에 고정되어 있으며 내부에는 돌림주름이라는 점막 주름이 존재함. 위에서 넘어온 소화된 음식이 담즙, 이자액에서 분비되는 소화효소액)과 섞이는 장소이며 철이 흡수되는 장소임. 2)빈창자:작은창자의 두번째 부분으로서 근위부 2/5를 차지함. 공장은 회장에 비해 직경이 크고 장벽이 두꺼우며 혈관이 풍부하고 장간막이 투명하고 직행혈관이 긴 것이 특징임. 3)돌창자:작은창자의 마지막 부분으로서 원위부 3/5을 차지함. 특히 돌창자, 큰창자 이행부 부위에는 파이어판이라는 림프절이 존재하며, 이곳은 각종 질병의 중요한 발생 부위가 됨. 담즙염 및 비타민 B12가 흡수되는 장소임. |

| 설명 | 배변장애, 복통, 복부팽만 등의 증상이 있으나 기질적인 병변이 없음이 확인된 예를 총망라한 임상 증후군이다. 가장 흔한 소화기 질환이며(전소화기 환자의 70~80%) 가장 흔한 질병(전체 인구의 약 20%)이다. 여성이 남성에 비해 2배 정도 많이 발생하며 30대 및 40대에서 호발하고 선진 공업국에서 많이 발생한다. 진단을 위해서는 병력 청취가 가장 중요하고 각종 검사로서 기질병을 제외해야 한다. 치료로는 안정요법(정신과적 면담 및 심리요법, 신경안정제), 식사요법(고섬유질 음식 섭취, 자극성 음식 피하기), 약물 요법(창자경련 진정제, 변비 완화제, 지사제) 등을 사용한다. |

| 설명 | 1. 아동의 배변훈련 및 변실금 또는 배변곤란증(상습변비)에 대한 훈련. 습관의 재훈련이 중요하다. 2. 배설을 화장실에서 행하는 습관을 만드는 일이다. 개인차가 있겠으나, 1년 6개월부터 이미 약 60%는 가리기를 시작하여 배변 →배뇨(낮) →배뇨(밤)의 순으로 3세반 경에는 대부분 습관이 형성된다. 배설의 가리기에는 어린이측의 조임근의 성숙과 가리기 과정에서의 어른의 충분한 지도-지지-수용이 중요하다. 강제적으로 시키거나, 배설에 실패하였을 때에 엄하게 벌을 주거나 하면, 어린이에게 적의나 불안을 심어주어, 자존심이나 자신을 잃어 자율심도 키우기 어렵다. |

| 설명 | 위장관을 침범하는 정확한 원인이 밝혀지지 않은 만성적인 염증성 질환을 말한다. 크게 ‘궤양성 대장염’(ulcerative colitis)과 ‘크론병’(Crohn's disease)의 두 종류로 구분된다. 백인, 유태인에 많고 흑인이나 동양인에는 드물지만 동양인에서 점차 증가추세에 있다. 호발연령은 15~35세 사이이다. 증상은 ‘궤양성 대장염’의 경우, 설사(혈변 및 점액변), 뒤무직, 복통, 복부압통, 체중감소 등이 주로 나타나며 ‘크론병’에서는 설사와 체중감소, 우하복부 종류, 항문주위 이상, 복부압통 등이 나타난다. 진단은 병력과 방사선학적 검사, 직장경 및 대장 내시경검사, 직장 및 대장의 조직검사로 하며 치료는 내과적인 치료가 원칙이나 내과적 치료에 듣지 않거나 합병증이 생길 경우에는 외과적 치료를 시행한다. ‘궤양성 대장염’의 경우에는 ‘대장암’을 예방하기 위해서 외과적 치료를 하기도 한다. ‘궤양성 대장염’과 ‘크론 병’외에 염증성 창자병에 속하는 ‘베체트 병’은 재발성 구강내 궤양, 피부 병변, 안구부 염증, 외음부 궤양, 관절염 증상, 위창자관 증상(복통, 장출혈), 부고환염 등의 증상을 나타내는데 진단과 치료는 ‘궤양성 대장염’, ‘크론 병’과 비슷하다. |
