| 설명 | 뇌의 염증성 질환. 뇌실질 뿐 아니라 뇌막-척수, 때로는 말초신경에도 일어날 수 있다. 바이러스성 뇌염과 출혈성 뇌염으로 크게 나눈다. 전자는 바이러스 감염에 의한 진성뇌염으로 대부분의 뇌염이 이에 포함되고 종류도 많다. ① 바이러스 감염에 의해 유행성으로 발생하는 것으로 일본뇌염-졸음뇌염 등이 이에 포함된다. ② 홍역이나 유행성 볼거리염에 걸렸을 때 병원바이러스가 환자의 뇌를 침범한 것 등이 이에 포함된다. ③ 종두접종 후 뇌염처럼 감염후에 발생되는 뇌염 등이 있다. |

| 설명 | 급성 바이러스 감염증의 하나. 직경 3~6mm의 작은물집이 집단으로 피부에 나타는 것이 특징이다. 가끔 입술이나 콧구멍의 주위에 또는 성기에 생긴다. 보통 발열을 수반하나, 감기, 피부박탈, 감정적 불안 등을 수반하는 일이 많다. 단순히 헤르페스라고도 부른다. 단순헤르페스는 직접적인 접촉, 음부헤르페스는 성접촉이나 출생시 산도를 통해서 감염된다. 이들 병변의 병리학적 특징은 핵내에서 바이러스가 증식함에 따라 카우드리 A형 핵내 포함체를 형성한다. |

| herpes simplex encephalitis | The most common acute encephalitis, caused by HSV-1; affects persons of any age; preferentially involves the inferomedial portions of the temporal lobe and the orbital portions of the frontal lobes; pathologically, severe haemorrhagic necrosis is present along with, in the acute stages, intranuclear eosinophilic inclusion bodies in the neurons and glial cells. | verruca simplex | A keratotic papilloma of the epidermis which occurs most frequently in young persons as a result of localised infection by human papilloma virus, usually types 2 and 4; the lesions are of variable duration, eventually undergoing spontaneous regression, and are both exophytic and endophytic, with hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis, hypergranulosis, koilocytosis, and papillomatosis.
