| 설명 | 수은과 다른 금속과의 합금. 수은의 양이 많으면 액체 상태가 되나, 대부분은 고체 상태이다. 수은은 백금, 철, 니켈, 망간, 코발트 따위의 녹는점이 높은 몇 가지의 금속을 제외하고는 여러 실용 금속과 서로 녹아 아말감이 된다. 금과 은의 야금, 거울의 반사면, 치과용 충전재 따위로 쓴다. 치과용 아말감 합금을 수은과 빚으면 가소성이 있는 점토와 같은 것이 얻어진다. 이것은 시간의 경과와 함께 약 24시간에 경화된다. 이 때문에 어떠한 와동에도 충전할 수 있고 또한 시멘트라인이 전혀 없기 때문에 시멘트의 용해로 인한 변연 유리라든가 접합물 이탈이라는 현상은 일어나지 않는다. 아말감 합금으로서 은-주석계인 것과 은-주석-구리계의 2종이 있다. |
