| 설명 | 세균성 이질의 원인균. 창자내 세균과에 속하는 그람음성의 막대균이다. 협막, 편모가 없고 포도당을 분해하나 일부를 제외하고 가스를 생산치 않는다. 혈청형이나 생물학적 증상에 따라서 S. dysenteriae(A), S. flexneri(B), S. boydii(C), S. sonnei(D)의 4가지로 나뉜다. 경구감염으로 1~4일의 잠복기후에 발병한다. 발열, 복통, 점액혈변, 배가 무지근한 것이 주증상이다. 자연에서 사람과 원숭이에서만 병원성이 있으며, 기니픽에게 점안했을 경우의 각막염을 일으킨다. 병원성 발현에 필수한 상피세포침윤성을 플라스미드에 지배되며 시가독소의 존재도 알려져 있다. |
