| 설명 | Hydrogenated cyclopentanoperhydrophenanthrene ring system으로 구성된 분자. 생체내에서 중요한 스테로이드는 부신겉질에서 생성되는 스테로이드 호르몬이며 당대사에 관여하는 글루코코르티코이드(glucocorticoid), 염류대사(인체내 존재하는 염분성분(NaCl, KCl, NaOH 등)을 조절하는 대사)에 관여하는 광물코르티코이드(mineralocorticoid), 성호르몬(인체의 성발달에 관여)의 세 가지이다. 스테로이드 호르몬은 부신피질에서 콜레스테롤을 재료로 하여 복잡한 합성단계를 거쳐 합성된다. 글루코코르티코이드는 뇌하수체에서 분비되는 부신겉질자극 호르몬(ACTH)에 의해 생성과 분비가 이루어지나 광물코르티코이드는 레닌-안지오텐신계(신장에서 인체내 염분이 부족시 레닌이 분비되고, 이 자극은 부신으로 전해져 광물코르티코이드인 안지오텐신을 분비하게 됨)의 자극에 의해 분비된다. 글루코코르티코이드는 transcortin과 결합하여 운반되며 반감기는 한시간 정도이나 염류코르티코이드는 대부분이 단백질과 결합하지 않고 유리형으로 남아있어 반감기는 20분에 불과하다. 이들이 간에 도달하면 glucuronic acid에 결합하여 배설된다. |

| 설명 | 원형질 표면을 덮는 엷은막. 두께는 5~25μm이다. 광학현미경으로는 관찰할 수 없지만 전자현미경으로 관찰이 가능하다. 원형질막의 분자구조는 레시틴이나 콜레스테롤 등의 표면 활성물질 분자가 2분자층으로 그 표면에 배열되며, 이것을 각 1분자층의 단백질 분자가 양쪽에서 샌드위치한 단위막 구조이다. 전자현미경적으로 이 단위는 암-명-암의 3층(각 약 20nm)으로 구별된다. 원형질의 투과성에 중요한 구실을 하며, 생리상태가 변하면 그 투과성도 신속히 변한다. 또, 손상이 되면 쉽게 새로 형성된다. |

| 설명 | 성욕은 있으나 성교에 따른 쾌감이 적거나 전혀 느끼지 못하는 상태. 일반적으로 여성에 대한 용어이다. 넓은 의미로는 성감감퇴증을 의미하고, 2대 성욕인 접근욕(정신적-육체적으로 이성에 접근하고자 하는 성욕)과 성교욕(직접적인 성욕)의 양자가 감퇴하고 있는 경우를 말하고, 좁은 의미로는 단순히 성교에 수반하여야 할 쾌감극기(남자는 사정까지 포함)를 느끼지 못하는 경우이다. 그러나 성교욕이 없어지는 냉감증과의 구별은 곤란한 경우가 많다. 원인은 성기의 발육부전 또는 기형 이외에 염증 등으로 인한 성교시의 통증이라는 기질적 장애나 내분비질환 등으로 인한 것이 10% 정도이고, 다른 한편으로는 성교에 대한 불안-공포-혐오-수치 등의 마음탓인 것이 많다. |

| GTP-binding protein | <molecular biology, protein> There are two main classes of G-proteins, the heterotrimeric G proteins that associate with receptors of the seven transmembrane domain superfamily and are involved in signal transduction and the small cytoplasmic G-proteins. Regulatory proteins found in all cells. They are versatile molecular switches, involved in the control of a wide range of biological processes - protein synthesis, signal transduction pathways, growth and differentiation. They all act through a common molecular mechanism based on their ability to bind the guanine nucleotides GTP and GDP selectively and with high affinity. Stimulatory G-proteins are permanently activated by cholera toxin, inhibitory ones by pertussis toxin. Transducin was one of the first of the heterotrimeric G-proteins to be identified.
