| 설명 | 근육, 뇌, 심장 등에 존재하여 에너지를 보관하는 역할을 하는 크레아틴(creatine)이라는 효소가 대사된 물질. 대개 혈액속이나 근육에 존재하고 또 콩팥을 통해서 몸밖으로 배설이 된다. 혈중에 존재하는 이 물질의 농도는 대개 병변이 없는 한 대부분이 존재하는 근육의 양에 비례한다. 그리고 이 물질은 다른 경로가 없이 단지 콩팥을 통해서만 배출이 되므로 콩팥의 기능을 평가하는데 많이 사용한다. |

| 설명 | 청소(clearance)란 피속에서 어떤 물질을 제거하는 속도를 의미한다. 피속에서 어떤 물질을 제거하는 것은 주로 콩팥의 역할이므로 콩팥에서의 어떤 물질이 제거되는 청소율이 임상적으로 중요하다. 콩팥에서의 어떤 물질의 청소율은 다음과 같은 식으로 구해진다. C(creatinine clearance) = V × U / P C란 콩팥의 청소율의 약자이고 V는 1분당 나오는 소변의 양으로 ml/min이란 단위로 표시한다. 그리고 U란 소변에 들어 있는 청소율 측정의 대상이 되는 물질의 농도이다. P란 청소율 측정의 대상이 되는 물질의 혈액 중의 농도를 나타낸다. 크레아티닌 청소란 크레아틴이라는 물질의 청소율을 나타내는 말로 콩팥 기능의 평가에 많이 사용되는 지표이다. |
