| 설명 | 남자에게서 음경의 발기부전으로 성교능력이 결여된 상태. 중추신경계의 병터가 없는 운동신경(발기신경)의 마비에 의한 무력성인 경우, 중추신경계, 특히 척수에 병터가 있어 마비성인 경우, 정신적 콤플렉스 때문인 정신성인 경우, 회음영역 중에 신경의 손상이 있어 발기반사의 지각부분이 손상된 경우와 같이 증후성인 경우 등이 있다. 발기불능은 넓은 의미로는 성기능장애 전반을 나타내나 보통은 주로 발기장애를 일컫는다. 발기는 정신계, 신경계, 혈관계, 내분비계 및 음경의 국소조건 등 모든 요소중 어느 하나라도 이상이 생기면 영향을 받는다. 과거에는 임포텐스의 90%이상이 심인성 원인이라 하였으나 최근에는 최신의 새로운 진단방법의 발달로 30~50%에서 기질적 원인을 찾아내고 있다. |

| 설명 | 어떤 병원체의 감염에 의하여 본인의 저항력이 약해졌을 때 몸의 다른 부위로 전이하여 다시 감염을 일으키는 것. 병원체가 인체에 침입하여 특정한 기관이나 조직에서 병원체가 증식하고, 그곳에 특유의 병터를 일으키는 것이 1차감염 또는 초감염이다. 이 1차감염의 병터의 병원체가 혈관-림프관-기관-소화관-요관 등의 길을 따라 같은 기관의 다른 부위나 다른 기관으로 운반되어 감염을 일으킨다. 따라서 1차감염에 의하여 충분한 면역이 될 경우에는 2차감염이 일어나지 않는다. 예를 들어, 유행성 감기에 걸렸을 때 세균에 의한 폐렴이 뒤따르는 경우를 이른다. 폐렴균, 화농알균, 대장균 따위가 있다. |
