  소뇌 기능장애에서 사지의 대항근육 사이의 협조성 상실의 징후로서, 환자에게 양팔을 수평으로 뻗게 하고 그 팔을 강하게 치면 정상인 경우는 곧 원상으로 올리는데 비하여 환자에 있어서는 원위치로 돌아오는 데 몇 번이나 떨게 된다.

This sense seems to have had its origin in the East. The Hebrews gave to each of the four cardinal points the name of wind.
