| ductuli excretorii glandulae lacrimalis | The multiple (6 to 10) excretory ducts of the lacrimal gland that open into the superior fornix of the conjunctival sac. Synonym: ductuli excretorii glandulae lacrimalis, excretory ductules of lacrimal gland. (05 Mar 2000) |
| fossa glandulae lacrimalis | A hollow in the orbital plate of the frontal bone, formed by the overhanging margin and zygomatic process, lodging the lacrimal gland. Synonym: fossa glandulae lacrimalis, fossa of lacrimal gland. (05 Mar 2000) |
| pars orbitalis musculi orbicularis oculi | pars orbitalis musculi orbicularis oculi |
| pars orbitalis nervi optici | <anatomy, nerve> The part of the optic nerve between the eye and the optic canal. Synonym: pars orbitalis nervi optici. (05 Mar 2000) |
| pars orbitalis ossis frontalis | The portion of the frontal bone that contributes to the formation of the orbits; the most rostral of three cortical convolutions that togetther form the inferior frontal gyrus. Synonym: pars orbitalis ossis frontalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
| pars lacrimalis musculi orbicularis oculi | <anatomy> See: orbicularis oculi muscle. Synonym: pars lacrimalis musculi orbicularis oculi, Duverney's muscle, Horner's muscle, musculus tensor tarsi. (05 Mar 2000) |
| pars profunda glandulae parotideae | <anatomy> A salivary gland situated in front of and below the ear. (27 Sep 1997) |
| pars superficialis glandulae parotideae | pars superficialis glandulae parotideae |
| ala orbitalis | One of a bilateral pair of triangular, pointed plates extending laterally from the anterolateral body of the sphenoid bone. Forming the posteriormost portion of the floor of the anterior cranial fossa, their sharp posterior edge forms the sphenoidal ridge separating anterior and middle cranial fossae. The medial end of the lesser wing attaches to the body by means of two pedicles, thus forming the optic canal. The wing itself forms the superior margin of the supraorbital fissure. Synonym: ala minor ossis sphenoidalis, ala orbitalis, Ingrassia's apophysis, Ingrassia's wing. (05 Mar 2000) |
| arteria zygomatico-orbitalis | <anatomy, artery> Origin, superficial temporal, sometimes middle temporal; distribution, orbicularis oculi muscle and portions of the orbit; anastomoses, lacrimal and palpebral branches of ophthalmic. Synonym: arteria zygomatico-orbitalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
| ramus orbitalis arteriae meningeae mediae | <anatomy, artery> Branch of middle meningeal artery traversing superior orbital fissure and running toward lacrimal gland. See: anastomotic branch of middle meningeal artery to lacrimal artery. Synonym: ramus orbitalis arteriae meningeae mediae. (05 Mar 2000) |
| ramus orbitalis ganglii pterygopalatini | Branches of pterygopalatine ganglion traversing inferior orbital fissure, distributed in orbit to periorbita and mucosa of ethmoidal and sphenoidal sinuses. Synonym: ramus orbitalis ganglii pterygopalatini. (05 Mar 2000) |
| regio orbitalis | The region about the orbit. Synonym: regio orbitalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
| musculus orbitalis | <anatomy> A rudimentary nonstriated muscle, crossing the infraorbital groove and sphenomaxillary fissure, intimately united with the periosteum of the orbit. Synonym: musculus orbitalis, Muller's muscle, orbital muscle. (05 Mar 2000) |
