| 설명 | 침샘의 하나. 침샘이란, 음식을 삼킬 때 입안으로 분비되어 음식물이 잘게 씹히는데 도움을 주며, 음식물을 소화하는데 이용되는 효소를 가지고 있는 침을 생산하는 곳을 말함. 크게 3가지의 침샘을 가지고 있으며, 위치와 모양은 옆의 그림과 같다.  |

| 설명 | 당은 다음과 같이 3가지로 구분된다. 당이 한개인 단당류, 단당류가 3~6정도 연결되어 있는 올리고당류, 그리고 올리고당류 여러개가 연결되어 있는 다당류가 그것이다. 아밀라아제는 다당류의 연결을 끊는 효소로써 침과 이자에서 분비되는 소화액에 많다. 그 외에도 여러 가지 조직에 분포한다. 이 효소의 혈중 농도는 침샘의 병, 특히 침샘염증이 있을 때 증가하고 급성이자염의 진단에도 도움을 준다. |
