| 설명 | 치료는 2가지 목적을 가지고 치료한다. 하나는 직접적으로 그 병을 치료하고자 하는 완치요법(curative therapy)이고 또 다른 하나는 그 병을 치료할 수는 없으나 그 환자가 죽기 전까지, 보다 인간다운 생활을 할 수 있도록 도와주는 고식요법(palliative therapy)이다. 즉 고식요법이란 예를 들어 말기 식도암환자에서 생명의 연장은 불가능하나, 식도암으로 인해 식도가 막혀 먹을 수 없는 경우 굶어죽지 않도록 관을 넣어서 먹도록 해주고, 식도암이 뼈에 전이되어 심한 통증을 호소할 경우 통증수술 등으로 통증을 해소하는 것이 여기에 속한다. |

| 설명 | 원래 절구는 골반의 3개의 뼈. 즉 엉덩뼈, 두덩뼈, 궁둥뼈로 만들어지는 데 소아에선 아직 완전한 뼈되기가 일어나지 않아서 이 부분이 삼방연골절구로 연결되어 있다. 이 삼방연골을 연결한 선과 절구가쪽끝과 삼방연골의 안쪽을 연결한 선과의 각을 말한다. 이 각이 40도 이상이면 절구의 이상 발육을 의미한다. |
