| 설명 | 뼈에서 생긴 염증이 관절까지 같이 침범하여 염증현상을 일으키는 경우를 말한다. 대개 무릎관절, 엉덩관절에서 잘 일어난다. 원래 뼈의 말단에 가까운 부위에 혈액의 흐름이 늦어지게 되므로 혈액내에 병균이 존재하는 경우 이 부위에 서식하기 쉽다. 따라서 이 부위에 생긴 뼈염(osteitis)은 거리상 관절부위가 가까우므로 관절염이 같이 발생하기가 쉽다. 대개 외상으로 관절근처의 피부감염이 생기게 되고 이는 곧 골관절염으로 이어질 수 있다. 치료는 항생제의 주입이다. 먹는 항생제로는 효과를 보기 힘들며, 반드시 주사용을 사용해야 하며, 오래되어 만성뼈관절염으로 발전할 경우, 관절의 파괴를 가져와 수술을 해야하는 경우도 있다. 특히 호발부위가 인체의 체중을 지탱하는 부위이므로 치료에 만전을 기해야 한다. |

| osteoarthritis, hip | Noninflammatory degenerative disease of the hip joint which usually appears in late middle or old age. | arthritis deformans | A systemic disease, seen more commonly in women which affects connective tissue, particularly the synovial tissue within joints. Arthritis is the main clinical feature and involves many joints in the body, especially those of the hand and feet. In this disease, there is thickening of the soft tissues around the joints and extension of the synovial tissue over articular cartilage (which becomes eroded). | dystonia musculorum deformans | A genetic, environmental, or idiopathic disorder, usually beginning in childhood or adolescence, marked by muscular contractions that distort the spine, limbs, hips, and sometimes the cranial-innervated muscles. The abnormal movements are increased by excitement and, at least initially, abolished by sleep. The musculature is hypertonic when in action, hypotonic when at rest. Hereditary forms usually begin with involuntary posturing of the foot or hand (autosomal recessive form ) or of the neck or trunk (autosomal dominant form ); both forms may progress to produce contortions of the entire body.
