| 설명 | 정신과적 질환은 대개 신경증(neurosis)와 정신병(psychosis)의 두 가지로 나눈다. 위의 두 가지 모두가 정신이 정상사람과 다른 것은 똑 같지만 신경증과 정신병의 차이점은 현실에 대한 인식의 차이이다. 즉 현실을 정확히 인지하고 현실에 대한 정확한 판단을 할 수 있는 경우를 신경증이라 하고 그렇지 않을 경우에는 정신병이라고 한다. 신경증의 경우는 정상이라고 생각되는 사람도 많이 가지고 있는 정신과적 질환이고 대개 증상이 양호하고 예후가 좋다. 불안 신경증이란 불안을 주 증상으로 하는 신경증을 말한다. |

| 설명 | 흔히 일반인들이 말하는 “노이로제”를 말한다. 대개 정상인에서 극심한 스트레스나, 혹은 증가된 불안이 있을 때, 무의식의 작용으로 의식과 무관하게 발생한다고 하며, “정신치료”의 대상이 된다. 신경증과 정신병증(psychosis)의 정확한 구분은 어려운 경우도 있으나, 대개 자신의 병에 대한 병식(insight)의 유무에 따라 나누고 있다. 신경증은 자신의 정신심리상태가 불안하거나, 예전과 다름을 알고 있으며, 그런 사실에 대해 스스로 느끼며, 치료에 대해서도 필요성을 알고 있다. 이에 비해 정신병은 자신에게 병이 존재한다는 사실을 알고 있지 못하며, 자신의 이상에 대해 크게 괴로워하지 않는다. 또한 신경증은 자기와 주위현실에 대한 구분이 가능한 경우가 많으나, 정신병은 자기 마음속의 말이나, 귀에 들리는 환청을 실제로 밖에서 일어나는 소리로 아는 경우가 많아, 이른바 현실(reality)과 자신(selfness)에 대한 구분을 못하는 경우가 많다. |

| 설명 | 약을 투여하는 방법에는 여러 가지가 있다. 크게 나누어 보면, 입을 거쳐 위창자계를 통해 넣는 방법과 위창자계를 통하지 않고 바로 혈액으로 넣는 방법이 있다. 위창자계를 통하지 않는 방법으로 가장 흔한 방법은 주사를 이용하는 방법이다. 하지만, 이외에 항문을 통해 넣는 좌약식방법과 혀밑에 넣는 혀밑투여법도 있다. 그러나 대부분의 약제는 경구복용을 하게 된다. 경구복용에 대한 약자는 p.o.(per oral)로 표기한다. 경구복용제의 단점은 복용한 약제가 위창자관계를 거치면서 사람마다 각기 다른 흡수정도와 대사정도를 거치게 되므로 일정한 농도유지가 어렵다는데 있다. 또한 경구복용제의 모양이 캡슐형인지, 혹은 가루형인지에 따라서도 같은 약이지만, 서로 다른 효과를 나타낼 수 있다. |
