| 설명 | 신경세포를 이루는 구성조직의 하나이다. 수초는 각 신경을 둘러싸고 있으며, 전기적 전달에 대해 절연체를 형성함으로써, 빠른 신경전달이 이루어지도록 해준다. 또한 각 말이집 사이사이에는 패임 이 형성되어 란비에결절(Ranvier's node) 이 존재하는데 이 결절사이를 신경전달에 있어서 점프식으로 진행되므로 빠른 전달이 가능해진다. |

| myelin basic proteins | A group of 7 proteins produced from a single gene by alternate splicing found in central and peripheral nervous system myelin. The major basic protein (mbp) has long been of interest because it is the antigen, that, when injected into an animal, elicits a cellular immune response that produces the CNS autoimmune disease called experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (encephalomyelitis, allergic).
