| medulloblastoma | <oncology, tumour> This primary brain tumour is the most common brain tumour in children and occurs more frequently in boys than girls. These tumours can spread along the spinal cord. Symptoms include ataxia, headache, vomiting and lethargy. Treatment often involves a combination of surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. a malignant, highly radiosensitive cerebellar tumor composed of undifferentiated neuroglial cells and usually considered a type of primitive neuroectodermal tumor. Most medulloblastomas occur in children and arise in or adjacent to the roof of the fourth ventricle.
