Soma, body Macrogenitosomia praecox, a disorder in which gonadal maturation (puberty) and the adolescent growth spurt in bodily height occur in the first decade of life; often associated with a pineal tumour or lesions in hypothalamic areas known to regulate gonadotrophin secretion.
