| 설명 | 전신 자가면역병의 대표적 병이다. 여성에게 압도적으로 많고, 10~39세까지가 70%를 차지한다. 원인은 잘 모르나 자가면역 조절기능에 장애가 있는 것으로 생각된다. 유전요인, 호르몬의 영향, 환경요소가 종합적으로 보조 T세포와 B세포를 활성화시켜서 여러 가지 자가항체들, 즉 천연 DNA, 이중가닥 DNA, 외가닥 DNA, RNA, 핵단백질 등과 같은 핵 항원에 대한 항체, 비핵항원에 대한 여러 가지 항체가 쏟아져 나온다. 이 중 이중가닥 DNA를 포함한 순환면역복합체가 콩팥에 침착하여 손상을 일으키는데 관여한다. DNA와 여러 가지 세포성분에 대한 자가면역질환으로 전콩팥기를 침범하여 염증을 일으킨다. 여러 자가항원에 대한 면역반응에 의한 항체의존성 면역반응과 면역복합체 반응으로 토리콩팥염, 혈관염, 관절염 및 빈혈을 동반한다. |

| 설명 | 콩팥사이질(renal interstitium: 콩팥의 세뇨관 사이의 결합조직)의 염증. 급성으로 일어나는 간질콩팥염은 대개 많은 약을 복용한 후에 발생하는 데, 열, 피부의 변색, 혈액내의 호산구증 그리고 소변의 감소와 콩팥기능의 감소를 특징으로 한다. 치료는 복용중인 약을 끊고, 부신겉질호르몬제를 투여한다. 콩팥은 각종 노폐물, 전해질, 수분 등을 포함한 요를 생산하여 배출하는 동시에 수소이온, 나트륨, 칼륨, 인산 이온 농도 등을 조절하며 내분비와 외분비 기능에 관여하기도 한다. |

| acute interstitial nephritis | <nephrology> A relatively uncommon condition which is characterised by inflammation of the renal tubules, glomeruli and surrounding tissue. Interstitial nephritis is usually be temporary and often associated with the use of a particular medication. Chronic and progressive forms do exist. Drugs that have been associated with interstitial nephritis include penicillins, ampicillin, sulpha drugs, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, furosemide and thiazide diuretics.
