영문 frozen shoulder 한글 굳은어깨, 동결견
설명   
  어깨의 관절낭과 말초관절 연골 사이의 유합성 염증이다. 점진적인 어깨동통, 경직, 운동 제한 등이 특징이며, 오십대에 어깨에 오는 병이라 하여 오십어깨 라고도 한다. 최근에는 40대에도 발생한다. 처음에 다쳤을 때는 수 일 내에 통증은 사라지나 손상된 힘줄에 염증이 생기면 인체 스스로 치료하려고 칼슘을 조직 내로 흡수한다. 그러면 다른 성분은 칼슘을 지방층과 충격흡수 부위로 밀어내면 이곳에 물이 흡수되어 조직이 붓고, 혈행이 막히면서 악화되어 점점 어깨의 움직임이 줄어들고 이런 과정은 1~2년이 걸리면서 악화된다. 종래의 치료방법은 붙은 어깨에 관절움직임을 증가하려는 운동 치료와 강하게 당겨 분리하려는 치료를 하여 간혹 낫는 경우도 있었다. 최근의 연구는 초기에는 안정을 하고 조금씩 움직임을 증가하는 치료법이 우수하다고 보고하고 있다.

    장시간 일정한 자세로 상지를 반복하여 과도하게 사용하는 노동으로 발생하는 직업성 건강 장해. 경견완 장해라고도 한다. 키펀처나 타이피스트와 같은 타건 작업에 종사하는 근로자 중에서 많이 발생하기 시작하여 그 후 슈퍼마켓에서 계산기를 다루는 근로자 중에서도 발생하였다. 기계를 사용하지 않는 근로자도 상반신을 앞으로 구부린 자세로 작업을 계속하거나 무거운 물건을 다루는 경우, 벨트 컨베이어 작업에서 작업 밀도가 높은 조립 작업을 하는 경우 등 상지를 빈번히 사용하면 이러한 증세를 보일 때가 있다. 신경 긴장과 냉기는 증세의 발생을 촉진하고 가중시키는 인자로 작용한다. 자각 증세로는 후두부, 어깨, 팔, 손, 손가락 등의 부위에 통증, 저림, 결림, 냉기, 지각 이상 등과, 눈의 피로, 두통, 수면 장해, 정서 불안정 등의 건강 장해가 나타난다. 무거운 물건을 취급할 경우, 무리한 자세를 취하게 되므로 요통, 배통 등도 따르게 된다. 의학적인 검사에서는 근육의 경결, 압통, 지각 장해, 말초의 순환 장해, 신경의 압통, 신경 테스트에서의 양성 등이 확인된다. 의사의 상세한 관찰로는 이탈리아의 B. 라마치니

shoulder-girdle syndrome A neurological disorder, of unknown cause, characterised by the sudden onset of severe pain, usually about the shoulder and often beginning at night, soon followed by weakness and wasting of various forequarter muscles, particularly shoulder girdle muscles; both sporadic and familial in occurrence with the former much more common; often preceded by some antecedent event, such as an upper respiratory infection, hospitalization, vaccination, or non-specific trauma; usually attributed to a brachial plexus lesion, because the nerve fibres involed are most often derived from the upper trunk, but actually multiple proximal mononeuropathies.
