| 설명 | 이 자세는 여러 가지 경우에 사용되어 지는데, 예를 들어 한쪽 폐에 물이 찬 경우에 그냥 보통 서서 찍는 X-선 사진 기술로는 잘 나오지 않는 경우가 많다. 이럴 때, 옆으로 누운 자세로 한쪽으로 물이 고이도록 한 상태에서 촬영을 할 경우엔 이 병적인 상태를 명확히 볼 수 있다. 때로는 만삭이 된 임산부가 바로 누워 있을 경우 태아에 의해 혈관이 눌려 실신하는 경우가 있는 데 이럴 경우에도 이 “옆으로 눕는 자세”를 하면 금방 회복될 수 있다. |

| 설명 | 처음 태아의 발생에 있어서 가장 바깥쪽의 것을 외배엽, 그리고 가운데 위치한 조직을 중배엽, 마지막으로 가장 안쪽의 것을 내배엽이라 부르는데, 이들은 각기 정해진 조직과 기관을 만들어 낸다. 먼저 외배엽에서는 주로 신경조직과 피부조직을 만들어 낸다. 따라서 뇌, 척수, 귀, 눈, 코, 피부 등이 여기에서 유래한다. 그리고 중배엽은 결합조직성분, 즉, 뼈, 지방, 연골, 근육, 피부 등을 생성하며, 내배엽은 소화기관, 배설기관에 해당하는 조직, 즉, 간, 허파, 방광, 이자 등을 만들어 낸다. |
