| 설명 | 마음 또는 정신을 지배하는 법칙을 알아내기 위하여 자기가 자기의 마음을, 또는 정신의 작용을 관찰하는 과정. 프랑스의 철학자 데카르트가 물질과 정신의 이원론을 내놓은 후, 정신의 연구법은 내관(내부관찰)이라고 주장한 때부터 정착한 것으로, 내성-자기 관찰 또는 내성심리학이라고도 한다. 그러나 1920년경부터 객관적-과학적 심리학자, 특히 미국 B.윗슨의 행동주의는 내관법을 거부하였으며, 내관이라는 용어도 심리학에서는 사용하지 않게 되었다. 하지만 실제로는 지각 등의 현상을 기록하기 위하여, 자극과 의식적인 사상(事象)과의 관계를 알아내기 위하여, 또는 의식과 사상 상호간의 관계를 결정하기 위하여, 그리고 환자를 진료하기 위하여 정신의학자나 정신분석학자들이 사용하고 있다. |
