inferior root of ansa cervicalis Fibres from the second and third cervical nerves that pass forward and downward along the internal jugular vein; they contribute to the ansa cervicalis and innervate the infrahyoid muscles.
Synonym: descendens cervicalis, radix inferior ansae cervicalis.
(05 Mar 2000)
CancerWEB ¿µ¿µ ÀÇÇлçÀü À¯»ç °Ë»ö °á°ú : 15 ÆäÀÌÁö: 1
superior root of ansa cervicalis The fibres that arise from the first and second cervical nerves, accompany the hypoglossal nerve, then branch off to meet the inferior root in the ansa cervicalis; they innervate the infrahyoid muscles.
Synonym: descendens hypoglossi, descending branch of hypoglossal nerve, radix superior ansae cervicalis.
(05 Mar 2000)
ansa cervicalis A loop in the cervical plexus consisting of fibres from the first three cervical nerves. Fibres from a loop between the C-1 and C-2 spinal nerves accompany the hypoglossal nerve for a short distance, leaving it as the superior root of the ansa cervicalis. Fibres from a loop between the C-2 and C-3 spinal nerves form the inferior root of the ansa cervicalis. Most commonly, the roots merge, forming the ansa cervicalis, which gives rise to branches innervating infrahyoid muscles.
Synonym: cervical loop, loop of hypoglossal nerve.
(05 Mar 2000)
radix inferior ansae cervicalis Fibres from the second and third cervical nerves that pass forward and downward along the internal jugular vein; they contribute to the ansa cervicalis and innervate the infrahyoid muscles.
Synonym: descendens cervicalis, radix inferior ansae cervicalis.
(05 Mar 2000)
nervus cardiacus cervicalis inferior <anatomy, nerve> A nerve passing from the stellate ganglion to the cardiac plexus.
Synonym: nervus cardiacus cervicalis inferior.
(05 Mar 2000)
inferior root of vestibulocochlear nerve <anatomy, nerve> One of the components of the vestibulocochlear nerve; it is made up of the central processes of the bipolar neurons which compose the spiral (cochlear) ganglion in the spiral canal of the modiolus of the bony cochlea; the cochlear root enters the cranial cavity by passing in fascicles through the spiral foraminous tract at the bottom of the internal auditory meatus; it enters the brainstem through the pontomedullary groove, closely adhering to the caudoventral aspect of the vestibular root, and distributes its fibres to the ventral and dorsal cochlear nuclei in the floor of the lateral recess of the fourth ventricle.
Synonym: radix cochlearis, cochlear root of vestibulocochlear nerve, inferior root of vestibulocochlear nerve, radix inferior nervi vestibulocochlearis.
