| 설명 | 보통 미친개에게 물림으로써 감염되는 특징적이고 심한 뇌염을 일으키는 바이러스 감염병 이다. 뇌의 병리학적 소견으로는 심한 부종과 혈관울혈을 보이고, 현미경상 광범위하고, 심한 신경세포의 변성이 있으며, 네그리(Negri)소체가 신경세포내에 나타나서 조직학적 특징을 나타낸다. 임상적으로 발열, 두통이 있으며, 진행되면 혼미와 조증(아주 기분이 좋은 상태로 계속 유지되는 것. 이 때는 잠도 줄어들고, 먹지 않아도 힘이 난다고 한다)이 번갈아 일어나다 혼수상태가 되어 결국 죽게 된다. 음식을 넘기는데 관여하는 근육이 수축하여 통증이 발생하여 물을 무서워하는 증상이 있어 공수병(hydrophobia)이라는 동의어를 가지고 있다. |

| 설명 | 혈장속에 존재하는 단백질의 하나로 물에 녹지 않지만 전해질이 녹아 있는 용액에는 녹는 성질을 가지는 단백질이다. 이것은 전기이동법으로 분석을 하였을 때에 그 이동도에 따라 alpha-, beta-, gamma-의 세 가지로 나눈다. 알파와 베타 글로불린은 체내에서 주로 화학작용을 매개하는 효소의 역할을 하는 물질이 대부분이다. 그리고 감마 글로불린은 체내에서 면역의 기전에 관계되는 항체를 이루어서 면역글로불린이라고 부른다. |
