| 설명 | 뇌와 척수의 내부에 있으면서 신경조직의 결합-지지-영양 등의 작용을 하는 신경아교세포에서 기원하는 종양. 신경아교종은 특히 뇌에 흔히 발생하며, 전체 뇌종양의 약 40%를 차지한다. 침윤성 성장을 하고 정상조직과의 경계가 분명하지 않아 외과적으로 이것을 완전히 제거하기 어려우며 완치가 곤란하다. 이 병은 다시 몇 개의 무리로 나누어지는데, 별아교세포종, 희돌기아교세포종, 뇌실막세포종이며, 그 중에서 가장 많은 것은 별아교세포종이다. 이것은 또 다시 그 악성도에 따라서 3군으로 나누어진다. 양성은 10년 이상 생존할 수 있으나, 악성은 1년 이상 생존하기 어렵다. |
