| 설명 | 귀속에 있하는 작은 뼈인 귀속뼈의 하나. 귀속뼈는 고막과 직접 소리를 느끼는 기관인 달팽이사이에 존재하는 것으로 소리에 의해서 진동하는 고막의 진동을 달팽이 전달하는 기능을 하는 뼈이다. 이것은 3개로 이루어져 있는데 고막에서 가까운 것부터 망치뼈, 모루뼈, 등자뼈이다. 고막과 부착되어 있고 이것에 모루뼈가 부착이 되어있고 다시 이것에 등자뼈가 부착되어 있고 이것에 와우가 연결되어 있다. 이 3개의 뼈는 단순히 진동을 전달하는 것뿐 아니라 지렛대처럼 움직여서 진동을 증폭시키는 역할도 한다.  |
