| 설명 | 국소 발육장애로 뼈의 모든 성분이 나타나나 성숙한 구조로 분화하지는 못하는 병이다. 임상으로 하나의 뼈 혹은 여러개의 뼈를 동시에 침범할 수 있다. 여러뼈 유형은 갈색색소 침착과 내분비 장애를 동반하며 조숙한 성적 발육을 동반한다. 육안소견으로 경계가 뚜렷한 병터로 조직소견으로는 섬유모세포의 증식과 곡선상의 뼈잔기둥으로 구성되어 있는데 뼈잔기둥은 뼈모세포로 덮여있지 않은 무층뼈(woven bone)이다. |

| 설명 | 뇌나 척수를 에워싸고 있는 수막에서 발생하며, 30세 이상의 사람이 많이 걸리는 병으로 대개 양성이며 성장이 느리다. 뇌종양의 약 20%를 차지한다. 주로 뇌의 상부, 볼록한 부분에 발생하지만, 뇌막이 있는 곳 어디서나 발생할 수 있어서 척수에 있는 뇌막에서도 발생한다. 수막종은 예외 없이 경질막과 유착되어 있으며 머리뼈 때문에 밖으로 자라지 못하고 항상 뇌조직 쪽으로 자란다. 그럼에도 불구하고 뇌조직 속으로 침습하는 성장을 하지 않는다. 종양이 단단하고 주위와의 경계가 좋고 혈관 발달이 좋다. 현미경소견으로 여러 가지 형으로 분류되었으나 예후와 관련된 의미는 별로 없다. |
