| 설명 | 잘룩창자(colon)의 만성, 재발성 궤양으로 염증이 주로 점막 및 점막 하부에 일어나는 원인불명의 대장염이다. 호발부위는 구불창자 및 곧창자이며 임상적으로는 경련성의 복통과 곧창자출혈, 혈액, 고름 및 점액을 포함한 설사가 특징적이다. 진단은 임상상과 대변검사, 그밖에 곧창자구불창자보개로 하며, 치료는 Sulfasalazine, 스테로이드, 수술 등이다. 합병증으로는 치질, 고름집, 천공, 암전환 등이 있다. |

| 설명 | 몸에 고열이 있을 때 이에 수반하여 일어나는 경련으로 젖먹이나 어린아이에 잘 나타난다. 6개월~5세 사이의 어린이가 고열과 함께 경련을 일으키는 것을 말하며, 대개 체온이 갑자기 올라갈 때 일어난다. 이때 중추신경계 감염으로 인한 경련은 제외된다. 온몸이 뻣뻣해지다가 팔다리를 떠는 형태의 발작을 하는데 안구가 돌아가고 의식이 없다. 보통 15분 이내에 그친다. 어린이들은 아직 뇌가 충분히 발달하지 않아 열이 나면 뇌세포가 자극을 받아 경련을 일으키게 된다. 보통 18~22개월 정도의 나이에 발생하며 5세 이후에는 드물다. 여아보다는 남아에게 흔하고 경련 후 특별한 이상은 없이 열이 내린 후 7~10일이면 뇌파도 정상이 된다. 모든 어린이의 3~4%가 이 증상을 경험하는 것으로 알려져 있고, 재발 확률은 약 30% 정도이다. 특히 1세 이전에 처음으로 발생하는 경우 50% 이상은 재발하게 된다. 원인은 확실하게 밝혀지지 않았으나 고열로 인한 뇌의 산소 부족, 뇌부종, 탈수, 뇌내 독소 침입 등에 의한 것으로 추정하고 있다. 원인 병으로는 감기가 약 70%를 차지하고 편도염-인두염-중이염-위장염 등도 원인이 될 수 있다. 또 유전성 경향이 있어 환자 가족의 60~70%가 열성경련을 경험한다. |

| 설명 | 구강점막의 염증으로, 종류로는 단순구내염, 궤양구내염, 아프타구내염 등이 있으며 이중 아프타구내염이 중요하다. 아프타구내염(aphthous stomatitis)은 구강내에 다양한 크기의 얕은 궤양이 생기며 동통, 작열감이 심하여 식사와 발음이 어렵다. 특수한 치료법은 없고 아세트산은액으로 부식시키는 것이 유효하다. 만약, 아프타구내염이 생식기 궤양, 포도막염(눈의 포도막에 발생하는 염증), 피부병 등과 동반할 때에는 베체트병을 의심해야 한다. |
