| 설명 | 몸속에 존재하는 자그마한 뼈를 말한다. 대표적인 경우가 중이에 존재하는 망치뼈(malleus), 모루뼈(incus), 등자뼈(stapes)이다. 이들은 고막에 의해 전해진 음을 망치뼈에서 모루뼈로 그리고 다시 등자뼈를 거쳐 달팽이관으로 전하면서, 지렛대원리를 통해 전해진 음의 약 17배를 증가시키는 역할을 한다. |
