| enalaprilat | <chemical> (s)-1-(n-(1-carboxy-3-phenylpropyl)-l-alanyl)-l-proline dihydrate. The active metabolite of enalapril and a potent intravenously administered angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor. It is an effective agent for the treatment of essential hypertension and has beneficial haemodynamic effects in heart failure.
