| 설명 | 원래 절구는 골반의 3개의 뼈. 즉 엉덩뼈, 두덩뼈, 궁둥뼈로 만들어지는 데 소아에선 아직 완전한 뼈되기가 일어나지 않아서 이 부분이 삼방연골절구로 연결되어 있다. 이 삼방연골을 연결한 선과 절구가쪽끝과 삼방연골의 안쪽을 연결한 선과의 각을 말한다. 이 각이 40도 이상이면 절구의 이상 발육을 의미한다. |

| 설명 | 위의 내용물이 식도와 입안을 거쳐 갑자기 입 밖으로 토해내는 현상. 구토는 설사처럼 위속의 유독물질 제거를 위한 생리현상이기도 하나, 그 밖에 정신적 자극, 귀의 평형감각을 담당하는 기관인 안뜰의 자극, 후두자극, 항암제 투여, 방사선 치료 등으로도 나타난다. 말초적 기관이 원인이 되는 경우가 아닌 중추신경계의 자극에 의해서도 구토가 유발 될 수가 있는데 이것의 원인으로는 구토중추와 화학수용기방아쇄대(chemoreceptor trigger zone)자극으로 나타난다. 화학수용기방아쇄는 도파민의 영향을 많이 받고 혈류가 풍부해서 도파민계통의 약물이 중추성작용을 나타내지 않는 용량으로도 작용을 나타낸다. 위의 날문이 수축하여 창자와 연결된 통로를 막고 들문이 열리면서 동시에 가로막 및 복벽근이 강하게 수축되면서 위의 내용물이 입으로 나오게 된다. |

| 설명 | 임신 중에 일어나는 구토로 임신 초기, 즉 2개월경부터 시작하여 4개월 초까지 계속되는 소화기계통의 증세. 이른 아침 공복 때의 구역질이나 가벼운 구토 외에, 식욕부진과 음식물에 대한 기호의 변화 등이 나타난다. 전 임신부의 60~70%에 나타나며, 병이라기보다는 오히려 생리적인 현상이라고 보고 있다. 따라서 하등의 전신장애가 나타나지 않고, 가벼운 것은 치료하지 않아도 대개는 경쾌해진다. 그러나 그 중에는 회복되지 않을 뿐만 아니라, 증세가 점차 심하여져서 쇠약 등의 전신증세가 현저해지고 드디어는 생명에 위험을 미치게 되는 경우도 있다. 이렇게 되면 명백히 병적인 것으로서, 이를 악성임신구토(hyperemesis gravidarum: pernicious voming of pregnancg)라고 하며, 입덧과는 구별된다. |
