| 설명 | 뇌의 염증성 질환. 뇌실질 뿐 아니라 뇌막-척수, 때로는 말초신경에도 일어날 수 있다. 바이러스성 뇌염과 출혈성 뇌염으로 크게 나눈다. 전자는 바이러스 감염에 의한 진성뇌염으로 대부분의 뇌염이 이에 포함되고 종류도 많다. ① 바이러스 감염에 의해 유행성으로 발생하는 것으로 일본뇌염-졸음뇌염 등이 이에 포함된다. ② 홍역이나 유행성 볼거리염에 걸렸을 때 병원바이러스가 환자의 뇌를 침범한 것 등이 이에 포함된다. ③ 종두접종 후 뇌염처럼 감염후에 발생되는 뇌염 등이 있다. |

The virus ranges along the atlantic seaboard of the united states and canada and as far south as the caribbean, mexico, and parts of central and south america.
