| 설명 | 정상적인 걸음걸이가 불가능한 상태. 중추 신경이나 다리의 근육 장애 때문에 생기는 것으로 실조성 보행, 소뇌성 보행, 마비성 보행, 아장아장 걷기 등이 있다. 성인의 경우에는 뼈-관절의 중대한 외상이나 만성류마티스관절을 비롯하여, 뇌혈관장애에 의한 반신마비, 척수손상-파킨슨증후군-근육위축가쪽경화증 등이 원인이 된다. 어린이의 경우는 심한 정신지체-뇌성마비-진행성근육위축증-진행성근육퇴행위축 등에 의한 것이 있다. 한때는 선천성 엉덩관절탈구에 의한 보행장애를 볼 수 있었으나, 요즘에는 조기진단-조기치료로 거의 볼수 없다. |

| 설명 | 사람은 누구나 깨어 있을 때는 무엇인가를 항상 생각하거나 느끼고 있다. 즉 직접적인 주관적 체험을 가지고 있다. 이와같이 깨어 있는 상태의 감각기에 의해 생기는 감동에 대한 정신의 반응을 총칭하여 의식이라 한다. 철학이나 심리학에서 의식이라 함은 광의로는 꽃을 본다, 문제를 생각한다, 기쁨을 느낀다 등 개체가 현실에서 체험하는 모든 정신작용과 그 내용을 포함하는 일체의 경험 또는 현상을 말한다. 심리-경험-현상 등과 같은 의미로 자주 사용되기도 하며 또 ‘깨어 있는 상태’와 동일시 된다. 이에 대해 협의로는 체험하고 있는 것을 특별히 느낄 때에 한해서 사용하고 그러한 자각이 없는 의식은 자각하는 가능성에 따라 전의식前意識-무의식無意識(잠재의식) 등으로 부른다. 우리들은 각성과 수면과의 교체에서 느끼게 되는 여러 가지 의식 수준을 경험하는데, 그 순간순간의 의식은 상호간에 관련이 없는 단편적인 연결이 아니라 일관성이 있는 연속체인 것이다. W. 제임스는 이 점을 강조하여 ‘상상의 흐름’, ‘의식의 흐름’이라고 하였다. |
