| 설명 | 각종 영상진단법을 이용한 질병의 진단 및 치료를 이용한 질병의 진단 및 치료를 담당하는 학문이다. 현대의학에서 질병의 진단은 크게 3가지 방법으로 구분한다. 즉 문진-시진-촉진-타진-청진 등의 전통적 방법과 근래에 발전된 검사실 진단, 영상진단이 있다. 이중에서 영상진단은 인체 내부장기와 질병의 상태를 눈으로 직접 볼 수 있으므로, 질병의 진단에 있어서 가장 중요한 진단방법으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 또한 진단방사선과학은 이와 같은 질병의 진단뿐만 아니라 수술 또는 내과적 치료를 대신할 수 있는 치료방법을 개발하여 현재 치료의 한 분야도 담당하고 있다. 진단방사선과학은 취급하는 영상진단방법이 다중재적 방사선 분야, 핵의학 분야, 영상진단 분야 등으로 분류된다. 또한 영상진단분야도 인체의 중요한 장기별로 일반 방사선진단-신경계-심혈관계-소화기 방사선진단 등으로 세분화되고 있다. 현재 실용화된 초음파 진단-전산화 단층 촬영술-자기 공명 영상술 등은 컴퓨터와 전자공학의 발전이 의학에 적용된 영상진단분야이다. 진단방사선과학은 질환의 행태학적인 진단이 보다 정밀화됨으로써 생체조직에 대한 전자현미경적 검사와도 연관될 수 있게 될 것이다. 또한 영상진단의 수준을 형태학적 검사에서 한걸음 나아가 생리적-생화학적 현상의 영상화를 실현하고 이를 형태학적 진단과 접목시킴으로써 인체내부의 모든 상태를 천리안으로 투시하는 수준에 곧 도달하게 될 것으로 예상되고 있다. |

The DSM approach supplants older, less rigorous methods of diagnosis, and as such represents a major step forward for the field of psychiatry. It consists of five axes covering clinical syndromes, developmental and personality disorders, physical disorders, severity of psychosocial stressors, and global assessment of functioning.
