| 설명 | 심장의 박동이 비정상적으로 불규칙하게 뛰는 부정맥의 하나인 심방잔떨림이나 심실잔떨림이 보였을 때 그것을 정상적인 심장 박동으로 되돌리는 치료를 잔떨림제거라고 한다. 잔떨림이란 부정맥의 하나로 심방이나 심실에서 동시에 다발적인 전기적 신호의 발생으로 심방이나 심실이 수축을 하지 못하고 수많은 전기적 신호만 발생시키는 경우로, 심방잔떨림일 때는 여러 종류의 항부정맥 약제로 정상적인 심장의 박동으로의 전환이 가능하지만 가장 효과적인 방법은 전기적 잔떨림제거이다. 심실잔떨림의 경우는 항부정맥 약제로는 효과가 나타나지 않고 다만 전기적 잔떨림제거에 의해서만 정상적인 심장박동으로 전환이 가능하다. 따라서 심방, 심실에 공통적으로 전기적 잔떨림제거가 행해진다. 전기적 잔떨림제거는 앞가슴벽 위에서 심장을 품은 듯한 위치에 전극을 2개 설치하고 직류전류를 통하게 하여 심장의 박동을 정상으로 되돌리는 것이다. 특히 심실잔떨림의 경우에는 치명적일 수 있으므로, 증상 발생 즉시 전기적 잔떨림제거를 실시하지 않으면 살아나기 어렵다. 그 어느쪽에 대해서도 전기적인 잔떨림제거가 가장 효과가 크다. |
