| 설명 | 조직의 국소에서 생산되어서 국소의 세포간의 신호전달을 매개하는 단백질 인자의 총칭이다. 표적세포의 수용체에 결합해서 세포내 활성화 메커니즘을 발현시키는 것으로 면역반응의 제어, 항암작용, 항바이러스작용, 세포의 증식-분화의 조절 등의 작용을 나타낸다. 일반적으로 10－12~10－10 몰의 극히 미량에서 기능하며 신속히 분해소실된다. 림프구가 분비하는 림포카인, 큰포식세포 유래의 모노카인, T세포가 분비하는 인터루킨 등의 여러 종류가 알려지고 있으나 각각의 유전자의 해명으로 동일한 것이 판명되고 있다. |

| cytokine | <biochemistry> Small proteins or biological factors (in the range of 5-20 kD) that are released by cells and have specific effects on cell-cell interaction, communication and behaviour of other cells. Not really different from hormones, but the term tends to be used as a convenient generic shorthand for interleukins, lymphokines and several related signalling molecules such as TNF and interferons. | microtrabecular network | <cell biology> Complex network arrangement seen using the high voltage electron microscope to look at the cytoplasm of cells prepared by very rapid freezing. The suggestion was that most cytoplasmic proteins are in fact loosely associated with one another in this fibrillar network and are separate from the aqueous phase that contains only small molecules in true solution.
