| 설명 | 임부가 매독에 감염되어 있으면 임신 후기에 매독균이 태반을 통해 혈행성으로 태아에 감염(수직감염)된 것을 말하다. 대부분은 유산, 사산이 되지만 출생하면 제2기 이후의 발진을 보인다. 발현시기에 따라서 ① 태아매독, ② 유아매독, ③ 만발성 선천매독으로 분류된다. ①에서는 뼈연골염, 간-지라 비대와 매독성 천포창, ②에서는 파로가성마비와 매독성 코염, ③에서는 허친슨 세징후(허친슨 치아, 속귀성 난청, 실질성 각막염)에 따라 특징이 있다. 기타 수두증, 지능발육 불량 등을 자주 볼 수 있다. 매독 혈청반응은 대부분의 경우 양성으로 나온다. 매우 드물게 간세포내에서 매독균을 무수히 볼 수 있다. 간세포 주변의 섬유화와 함께 불규칙한 흉터(hepar lobatum)를 만들 수 있다. |

| rubella | <disease, virology> An acute, usually benign, infectious disease caused by a togavirus and most often affecting children and nonimmune young adults, in which the virus enters the respiratory tract via droplet nuclei and spreads to the lymphatic system. It is characterised by a slight cold, sore throat and fever, followed by enlargement of the postauricular, suboccipital and cervical lymph nodes and the appearances of a fine pink rash that begins on the head and spreads to become generalised. | rubella immunization | The standard MMR vaccine is given to prevent measles, mumps and rubella (german measles). The mmr vaccine is now given in two dosages. The first should be given at12-15 months of age. The second vaccination should be given at 4-6 years (or, alternatively, 11-12 years) of age. most colleges require proof of a second measles or mmr vaccination prior to entrance. Most children should receive mmr vaccinations. Exceptions may include children born with an inability to fight off infection, some children with cancer, on treatment with radiation or drugs for cancer, on long term steroids (cortisone). People with severe allergic reactions to eggs or the drug neomycin should probably avoid the mmr vaccine. Pregnant women should wait until after delivery before being immunised with mmr. People with HIV or aids should normally receive mmr vaccine. Measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines may be administered as individual shots, if necessary, or as a measles-rubella combination. | congenital rubella syndrome |
Also known as the German or three day measles. This is caused by the exposure of a fetus to the rubella virus. The areas affected in the fetus include vision, hearing, and heart. The most common vision problems include cataracts, glaucoma, microphthalmia, hypoplasia of the iris, macular lesions, optic atrophy, colobomas, nystagmus, and strabismus. Visual acuity and visual fields are reduced.
