| 설명 | 머리부분의 혈액을 공급하는 동맥. 온목동맥는 대동맥에서 직접 나오는 동맥으로, 바깥목동맥와 속목동맥로 나뉜다. 속목동맥은 뇌의 혈액을 공급하는 역할을 하고, 바깥목동맥은 뇌를 제외한 머리부분에 혈액을 공급하는 역할을 한다. |

| 설명 | 사람의 귀에 소리로 들리는 한계 주파수 이상이어서 들을 수 없는 음파. 파장이 작고 지향성이 강하기 때문에 그 펄스를 발전시켜 바다의 깊이를 재는 음파 탐지기나 어군 탐자기에 이용한다. 같은 원리로 고체 재료의 내부 결함을 검사하거나, 보석-유리 따위의 절단이나 가공, 유탁액의 생성-세척-살균 따위에도 이용한다. |
