| 설명 | 어떤 물질계나 구조에 액체나 기체 등의 확산이 있는 경우에 그 구조가 확산성 물질분자의 통과나 침입을 허용하는 성질. 생물학적으로는 특히 세포막을 비롯한 여러 생체의 막구조가 가지는 투과성이 중요하다. 이 생체막의 대부분은 용매나 일부의 한정된 용질 분자만을 통과시키기 쉬운 반투막을 가지며, 이 성질은 그 생체막이 살아 있는 상태에서만 유지된다. 생체막의 투과성은 그 막을 지나서 일어나는 여러 가지 물질의 이동에 깊은 관계가 있다. 삼투압에 의한 단순한 확장에 주로 기인하는 수동적인 경우로부터 염류-포도당-아미노산 등의 흡수 때 에너지를 필요로 하는 능동적 수송까지 여러 가지가 있다. 또한 분비-흡수-배출, 막의 흥분성 등 수많은 중요한 생리현상의 요인이다. |

| capillary permeability | Property of blood capillary walls that allows for the selective exchange of substances. Small lipid-soluble molecules such as carbon dioxide and oxygen move freely by diffusion. Water and water-soluble molecules cannot pass through the endothelial walls and are dependent on microscopic pores.
