An indolent swelling of the thyroid gland; goitre; tracheocele. Called also Derbyshire neck. [Thomas1875] An enlargement of the thyroid glands. The whole gland may be swollen, or only the center, or either side, more frequently the right. This often produces scanty menstruation or profuse leucorrhoea. [Wilson1893]
