A biocoenosis (alternatively, biocoenose or biocenose), termed by Karl M?ius in 1877, describes all the interacting organisms living together in a specific habitat (or biotope). It is more common to see the words, biotic community (or biological community or ecological community), used in this context, these all being identical concepts.
