| 설명 | 좌우 양쪽의 눈으로 상을 보는 경우이며, 단안시에 대응하는 용어이다. 양쪽 눈을 이용해서 한 물체를 볼 경우엔 입체적으로 보인다. 양쪽 안구의 협조적인 작용에 의하여 양안으로 동일한 점을 주시하여 하나의 물체로 보게 된다. 단안시에 비하여 맹점을 보완하고 시력을 증대하며, 더욱이 공간의 퍼짐을 인지하거나 입체시를 보다 완전하게 할 수 있다. 포유류에서도 좌우 양안의 시축 각도의 벌어짐은 여러 가지로서, 사자는 10°, 개는 30~50°, 노루는 100°, 토끼는 170°이다. 정면의 물체는 양쪽 눈으로 볼 수 있으나 좌우 방향에 있는 물체는 양쪽 눈을 동시에 움직여 한족 눈으로 보는 것과 같은 경우가 많다. 육식동물은 양안시형이 많고, 설치류나 유제류와 같은 초식동물은 단안시형이 많다. 조류에서도 올빼미 등은 양안시형이고, 닭 등은 단안시형이다. |

| 설명 | 응시하고 있는 점을 경계로 하여 한 눈 또는 두 눈의 시야의 오른쪽 반 또는 왼쪽 반이 안 보이는 상태. ① 같은 쪽 반맹 : 두 눈 시야의 오른쪽 반 또는 왼쪽 반에 결함이 있는 것으로 우측 반맹-좌측반맹이 있으며, 시삭에서 피질중추에 걸쳐 일어나는 장애 때문이다. 장애부위가 제1시중추까지라면 반맹성 동공강직 현상이 일어나고 그보다 앞쪽이면 동공반응에 이상이 없다는 것이 진단의 기준이 된다. ② 반대쪽반맹(교차반맹) : 두 눈 시야의 반대쪽이 안 보이는 것. 뇌하수체 종양이 원인인 경우가 가장 많으며, 시신경교차가 압박을 받으면 두 눈의 바깥쪽 시야가 안 보이는 양귀쪽반맹이 일어나고, 아주 드물게 시각신경교차가 양쪽으로부터 압박을 받으면 두 눈의 안쪽 시야가 안 보이는 양코쪽반맹이 일어난다. ③ 4분의 1 반맹 : 두눈의 시야가 일치된 1/4의 부분이 안 보이는 것으로 매우 드물다. 원인은 모두 뇌종양-두개 외상으로 인한 시각신경로 또는 시중추의 장애 등이며, 치료는 원인이 되는 병을 먼저 치료하고, 시야 결손에서 비롯되는 불편을 감소시키기 위해서는 반사경 또는 프리즘을 이용하여 고안한 반맹용 안경을 사용한다. |
