| 설명 | 석면의 흡입으로 인해서 생기는 병으로 특히 허파의 변화가 문제가 된다. 폐조직이 많이 파괴되고 섬유화(정상 폐조직이 없어지고 대신에 이것이 흉터와 같은 조직으로 대체되는 현상. 즉 완전한 치유가 되지 못하고 반흔이 남는다)를 보이는 것을 특징으로 한다. 그리고 이것은 흉막(폐를 싸고 있는 막)의 암을 일으키는 것으로 알려져 있다. |

The needle like asbestos fibres are phagocytosed by alveolar macrophages but burst the phagosome (phagocytic vesicle) and kill the macrophage and the cycle is repeated.
