| 설명 | 자율신경계의 하나로써 주로 긴장이 풀어져 있을 때 작용한다. 특히 심장에 대한 부교감 작용을 보면, 주로 미주신경을 통해 작용을 한다. 미주신경은 심장의 박동원(박동을 일으키는 작용을 하는 곳으로 굴심방결절)을 억제시켜 심장의 운동을 억제한다. 하지만, 실제적으로는 심장의 박동을 억제하는 대신에 심실의 수축을 강화시킴으로 심장의 수축력을 증가시켜 심장으로부터 대동맥으로 나가는 혈액량은 증가한다. 이에 비해 교감신경은 심장의 운동을 빠르게 하여 혈압을 증가시키고, 맥박을 증가시킨다. |

| 설명 | 배, 또는 복부의 국소적 위치를 표시하는 방법에는 4분할법과 9분할법이 있다. 4분할법의 경우에는 배꼽을 지나는 수직, 수평선을 중심으로 하여 각각 우상복부, 우하복부, 좌상복부. 그리고 좌하복부로 나누며, 9분할법은 10번째 갈비뼈의 하연을 잇는 갈비뼈 아래면과 양쪽 윗엉덩뼈가시를 잇는 가시사이면. 몸의 중심을 세로로 지나는 선과 윗엉덩뼈가시의 중간 지점을 통하는 좌우중간샅면을 이용하여 9부분으로 나누는데 각각의 명칭은 그림을 참조하기 바란다 가끔씩 갈비뼈아래면을 대신하여 목패임과 배꼽의 중간점을 수평으로 통과하는 선을 사용하기도 한다. |

| abdomen | <anatomy> The portion of the body which lies between the thorax and the pelvis. It contains a cavity (abdominal cavity) separated by the diaphragm from the thoracic cavity above and by the plane of the pelvic inlet from the pelvic cavity below and lined with a serous membrane, the peritoneum. This cavity contains the abdominal viscera and is enclosed by a wall formed by the abdominal muscles, vertebral column and the ilia. It is divided into nine regions by four imaginary lines projected onto the anterior wall, of which two pass horizontally around the body (the upper at the level of the cartilages of the ninth ribs, the lower at the tops of the crests of the ilia) and two extend vertically on each side of the body from the cartilage of the eighth rib to the centre of the inguinal ligament.
